Inactive WordPress Blog

There is another blog that has the name that I need for a business, but it looks like the blog is inactive. There has only been one post from that blog and it was posted in June of 2006. Is there any way I can claim the blog?

You cannot register either a username or a site URL that has already been registered.
There is no expiration date on any on .wordpress.com blog urls unused, reserved or otherwise. Unless you can reach the over of the site and have them transfer it to you, you have reached a dead ends. Note that in these cases the blog’s owner rarely responds to comments or to contact information. And, Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
