inadvertent confusion of two blogs

I started a blog many months ago, with the intention of choosing an appearance theme eventually that would cause it to resemble that of a website. In order to learn how to use the various functionalities in wordpress well, I also started a second blog on my various musical adventures, to which I have been posting roughly one entry per week. When one looks at that second blog, none of the entries to the first one are visible. However, now that I have returned to posting items to the first blog, all entries, including the ones for the second blog, are visible. I am hoping that someone can point me to how might I eliminate this problem.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please post the URLs for both blogs. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

The first blog, “Robert Fleming, Canadian Composer”, is at http://theflemingsblog.wordpress.com/.

The second, “Memoirs of a Musical Bystander”, is at http://theflemings2012.wordpress.com/.

  • Hi there – Do you want your posts to appear to both blogs? The blogs aren’t connected so be sure that when you create a new post here that you first pick the appropriate blog from the dropdown ‘To Blog’ menu at the upper right-hand corner of the post form :
    http://wordpress.com/post/

For any posts currently appearing on the wrong blog, you can edit/delete them from each blog’s Dashboard here:
    https://theflemingsblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
    https://theflemings2012.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php

If this doesn’t help, can you please provide a bit more detail about exactly what you’re trying to do, and what’s happening when you try?

Thank you. What I am trying to accomplish is to have two separate blogs. One, “Robert Fleming, Canadian Composer”, should have only three postings to date. The other, “Memoirs of a Musical Bystander”, should have about twenty. I have been trying to ensure that I have picked the appropriate blog from the drop-down menu as I create new blog entries. Sometimes I have not always done so, or rather, having recognized my mistake, I have then re-posted and further edited in the correct place, but have not deleted the original post from the incorrect place. Am I correct that, if I were to delete the incorrectly placed ones in the first blog, this would not also delete them from the second blog, where they belong?

Correct. Your two blogs are not connected in any way other than being owned by the same user account and any changes you make to one specific blog won’t affect the other.
