Inadvertently deleted my blog

In an attempt to clear up my account, I was deleting the empty blogs that did not have my domain, aaronapter.com, mapped to them. I inadvertently deleted the one that does have my domain mapped to it, I’m using dreamhost as a host for my WordPress.org blog. It seems to have been all set last night and I even uploaded a purchased template. However, I could not login later, as I received the message that the blog had been deleted.

  • Typically, blogs that are deleted are unrecoverable, hence the three confirmation steps.

Fortunately, this one was just barely recoverable. You’re all set now.

Thanks for the reply. I typed up a lengthy reply a few hours ago and it did not post. Essentially, I think my domain is mapped to the wrong blog. I have a WordPress.org site on dreamhost that I had setup yesterday (I think my title on it was Apterpress) and even uploaded and applied a themeforest theme to it. I started briefly working on it last night when it disappeared. Can I do dreamhost’s one click WordPress installation on this one? When I go in my dreamhost panel to click on the site that has WordPress installed on it, I receive a message saying that the site has been deleted. Thank you for the help!

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

We do offer tools for helping to make your WordPress.org experience as awesome as WordPress.com. Jetpack supercharges your website with features like easy video embedding, stats, and Twitter and Facebook sharing tools. VaultPress provides realtime, continuous backup and scans your website for security and performance.
