Inappropriate Advertisements
-
Hello, we are a group of student journalists for our high school’s newspaper, The Nucleus. We use one of your free domains for our newspaper’s website, however, many students have come to us about pornographic and inappropriate advertisements of partially nude women at the end of their screens. Is there any way to get more appropriate advertisements for our website or do we have to pay to remove all ads?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

HI,
Sorry to hear that, Just looking at the site I can’t see any ads myself, but I could be looking in the wrong place, here’s a bit more information about the adverts: https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/
“We screen the ads we display for mature or illegal content. Sometimes, however, you or visitors to your site might still see ads you object to” – This is taken from the link above, it might be some inappropriate ads filtered through.
I’m going to tag this with modlook so a member of the support team can hopefully give you a better answer.
You can remove adverts by upgrading to a different wordpress plan if you wish: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/

do we have to pay to remove all ads?
Upgrading to the Personal plan would enable you to remove all adverts.
Different adverts display according to the location of the user. I see ads for cars.
Note that there is a tiny clickable “report this ad” button at the bottom right of most adverts. However a screenshot placed in your media library would help staff if you believe the ads on your site are inappropriate. -
Hi there,
Different ads pop up depending on your location and what site you’re using, but as @themagicrobot mentioned, if it does appear like an inappropriate ad, please take a screenshot of it and upload the ad to your media library. Also, you can report the ad here:
