Including images in blog posts

I am having a hard time getting images to appear correctly within my blog posts. Sometimes they are too large which pushes the text to the side of the page and doesn’t appear right. And, sometimes the image is too small and doesn’t fit with the text. How do I include an image that will fit with the text in my post?
