Including my site in Google searches

My site consists only of PAGES. I would like the site to be search-able by users of Google Search. How do I enable the contents of my site to appear in a Google search?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You make posts instead of pages or you lower your expectations.

A regular blog made of search engine optimized posts can take up to seven weeks to get indexed by Google. An all-pages website may never be indexed at all.

You can do a search of the forum for “SEO” and “Google” and “pagerank” and related terms, but basically you have hamstrung your site and will never win the race.

Lordy. You could put some content on the landing page while you’re at it. Search engines will see that and conclude there is nothing there to index, and go away.

Thanks for your answers to my questions. Obviously, I’m new at this.

Is there a way to change my pages to blogs, such as cut-and-paste?
I see my whole site is listed as a blog on the “My Blog” page. I’m confused.

The “landing page” appears to be a default page? In any case, I can’t figur out how to access it. If I could, I’d erase the “NOT FOUND” notice that displays.

I’m afraid Cut and Paste is the only way to do it.

The Not Found notice will go away when you create posts, because that’s the spot they will go once they’re created.

Take a quick look through http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and then although most of this will be review: http://learn.wordpress.com and then you should have a great understanding of how it all works. Once you make a couple of posts you’ll see how it goes.

Yes, I already had checked out the sites before I began all this, but evidently not all of it sunk in. So I’ve just re-read it, this time more carefully! Now I’ll give it a try. Thanks again for putting me on the right track.
