Incoming Links
-
How do I delete incoming links (as mentioned in current activity,
in my dashboard page) OR how do I prevent someone from linking to
my blog?Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You don’t. Of course you always have the option of taking those folks who link to you to court or hack their websites of course.
Even in the country you are currently in, you really can’t prevent someone from linking to your site.
Only real option is to uncheck that box on your Dashboard -> Options -> General -> I don’t want my website to appear in Google and the search engines.
Of course you just provided a link yourself by posting here in the forums. You may want to remove the link by editing your forum profile and removing the website address.
Kind of defeats the purpose of having a blog though.

Thank you drmike for your quick response. I wouldn’t object to linking,
provided such links are legitimate, but cannot tolerate spammers and web
sites which are nothing but *s..t* (apologies for my bad language).I guess I will try the option (uncheck box in dashboard) as suggested.
Thank you again for your kind support. -

You can control them adding comments that link to their spam sites, but you can’t do anything about them linking from spam sites to you.

Part of the issue is that it’s rumored that having a spammer link to you increases the chance of Google calling you a spammer. (ie Google thinks it’s spammers linking to one another)
I wouldn’t worry about one or two links from spammers. I host sites that have tens of thousands of links inbound. One or two spammer links isn’t going to hurt.
My Kim Possible webcomic (if I ever get it back up and running) is highly ranked in Google for the subject. I have nearly a hundred of spamming inbound links for in since it gets used a lot for sex site spam. I don’t worry about it.
