Incoming links

Add topic to favorites
I had three or four incoming links from another web site.
Suddenly, today they have disappeared.
I have checked one of the original links and it is still on the other site active and well.
Can there be any explanation for the incoming links disappearing in my blogstats page?

Incoming links is from Google Blogsearch if I’m not mistaken, and they’ve been spotty lately. For instance, my Tumblr blog automatically links to one of my blogs every single day…yet only the link from yesterday has ever shown up on Incoming Links. It’s lame!

Yep, my Incoming Links have disappeared too. If anyone knows how to make the Incoming Links “re-appear,” please do share!

Incoming links are pull from Google Blog Search results. On the Dashboard widget there is a link titled “See All” which you can click to see if google has any results for your site. If they don’t show any, you’ll need to contact Google.

In my experience, incoming links last for a few weeks and then disappear. It’s as if they time out. Raincoaster is also right; it just doens’t quite work the way it’s supposed to. A new link often takes a day or two to show up, if ever.

They come from Google. It’s basically a SERP check based on a blog “news” search.

actually it seems like all the incoming links are gone… even if you search google directly.

i wonder if it’s only some of us who are broken

If you are referring to trackbacks, then yes. You do this from your Dashboard’s comments section.

If you are referring to Incoming Links in your Dashboard landing page where another blog has linked to you, then no, but you are the only person to see it.

Oh, it’s definitely Google. I did a search at Bloglines and it returned nearly all the incoming links that used to show in my Dashboard incoming links except, oddly, the next to the last most recent one.

No items found.
