incomplete dashboard login
-
Since yesterday, I have been unable to load the entire dashboard. It is thus dysfunctional. I tried logging out and back in again – no change. I tried changing the password and logging in again – no change. I have a privately hosted WP blog that is not suffering the same problem. What to do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and try again.

There are several people reporting similar issues. What browser and version are you using?

Firefox 3.6.13 is my browser. I must admit it is not entirely satisfactory, but I prefer it to Safari on my Mac. Will try clearing and let you know if it works. Thanks!

I’m have FF 3.16.13 as well and have no issues with the dashboard, so if that doesn’t clear it up, are you by chance behind a firewall of any sort? Try visiting the following three links and let us know if you cannot reach any of them. What you should see is text, CSS actually.

Thanks for that last, thesacredpath. Clearing did the trick, although it’s a nuisance because it strips out some remembered stuff I need to keep in place. Is there a way to do something less drastic? Maybe simply remove the cookies for WP.com?

No, I didn’t. This is the first time I’ve had this problem with a new WP.com blog. I don’t really want to switch to Safari, so frankly, the thought did not occur to me. Anyway, the problem is solved now. I’m happily back to blogging! Thanks, again!

Glad we have a workaround for the time being. Hopefully the issue will iron itself out in the next few days or so.
