Incomplete Export/Import

  I have “successfully” (no problems experienced) exported my wordpress.com blog as an xml file. However, when importing it over to Edublogs, about 90% of my blog content is missing. Tech Support over at Edublogs says the xml file is incomplete, with the data not spanning the complete life of my blog.

  Any thoughts on what to do?

  I’m having the same problem. I am trying to export my blog to TypePad. The generated .xml file is about 467KB. When I import it into TypePad, roughly 90 of my 100 posts are missing.

  Yes… my xml file is only about 420 Kb with much content missing.
  Still waiting to hear from the support folks…

  Support is closed on weekends. Did you file a ticket on Friday by using the Support tab in the upper right of your browser? If not, give a go tomorrow. Sometimes support people stop by here but it is Easter.

  I sent my XML file to my new blog service and they found that post ID #16 had some errors that were interfering with the export (no idea what they were). I followed their recommendation and simply edited that post and re-saved it. Then re-exported it and imported it into my new service and it worked beautifully!
