Incomplete/stalled import from an WordPress.org XML file

    Yesterday I started an import of posts and more from an external WordPress (exported XML-file) website but it seems to have failed. Almost all images have been imported but none of posts. If I go to […]/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress it still says ”Processing …” even though 24 hours has passed since the beginning of the import.

    Hi there,
    Sometimes the importer gets stuck. This thread is tagged with modlook for Staff to reset it for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

    Hi @claudees, I’ve stopped the importer for you. Can you create a fresh export then try again?

    You’ll want to be sure any spam comments have been removed prior to export, too, so that they aren’t using extra resources. Let us know if you need more help!
