inconsistency of pictures in browsers

I am having problems with jpeg pictures being consistent with browers. I started a new Photography tab in my gmengraphics.wordpress.com website. There should be 5 pictures in the Photography tab.The pictures show up perfect in Firefox 5 using Windows 7 64 bit but all the pictures do not show up in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9. I re-uploaded the pictures on another computer using WindowsXP pro and it works fine in Google Chrome but not in Firefox 3.6. I have compared it with other computers on the same household, as well as from different people using different internet providers, as well as different operating systems. The inconsistency is very annoying. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. I never had problems before. All the other tabs work fine in all browsers and operating systems.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can you see all of those pictures in your media library?
    for example:
    http://gmengraphics.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/lauren-off-camera-1.jpg
    links to an image
    but this one does not:

The answer to Tess’s question is important. Images that are not in your Media Library cannot be displayed. When browsers call for them there is nothing to display. But more to the point in the OP your refer to using Firefox 3.6 and that is an outdated browser version. The current stable version is Firefox 5.0 and note that all browsers can be updated here http://browsehappy.com

Different computers display graphics differently. Unfortunately, not all browsers do color management (i.e., some will just discard the profiles entirely) and those that do (such as Safari) do not always do so consistently. Images should be saved in RGB mode, and you will see the best results if you use the sRGB color profile. See here for troubleshooting images > http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/troubleshooting-images/#color-profiles

To test for cross browser compatibility you can use this free service > http://browsershots.org/

Interesting website TT. Looking at that, Firefox doesn’t like themes with sliders! The shot it shows has the extracts listed one after the other, while some versions of Flock get it right and others do not.

Others seems to ignore the “More” tag totally.

    Hi There,
Yes it’s a very useful site and I’m glad you checked it out so now you know what visitors using various browsers are viewing. I use Firefox 5.0 and have no trouble viewing your slider images.

Thanks for responding but I continue to have more difficulties with my [gmengraphics.wordpress.com] website. I wanted to place a Ficker link below my gallery view. It works in the Photo Slide tab but not in Photos and Photo 2 tab. I understand about keeping it in the media library but how do you keep it in the media library without it being in the gallery. Every time I try to insert a picture, it wants to show up in the gallery but I don’t want a particular picture to be displayed in the gallery view. I wanted to display something under the gallery view which would be separate. This problem seems to be keep coming up in one way or another. I have the cursor blinking and I insert it under the gallery view to separate it but it just ends up in the gallery where I don’t want it. But then when I delete it in the gallery, it is also deleted in the media library. What am I doing wrong? How do I keep it in the media library? Hopefully I am explaining this so that others can understand my dilemma. thanks
