Incorrect and Fraudulent tax rate at Checkout, with NO human help

  • Unknown's avatar

The tax is calculated wrong in my state at checkout, taxed at checkout (11.7%)! AZ state, county, and city tax = 9.2%. A difference of 2.5% overcharge!
I’m not going to pay for illegal tax withholdings and aparently I can’t talk to a human, without purchasing a plan, that wants to scam me. That’s SO unethical!
I wanted to purchase 2 years of the Commerce plan.
The combined sales tax rate for ZIP code 85132 breaks down as follows:
    State tax (Arizona): 5.6%
    County tax (Pinal County): 1.6%
    City tax (Florence): 2.0%
    Total combined rate: 9.2%

On an $864.00 purchase, 9.2% sales tax would be:
    864.00 × 0.092 = $79.49
WordPress is charging me $101.09 in tax!
    A difference of $21.60!
So, if it’s incorrectly calculating it for me, it’s doing that for everyone, and they’re not fixing it.
