Incorrect domain name

  I created a new website and tried to bring in a domain name I already own, purchased through GoDaddy. The domain name is deborahblackwell.com and WordPress brought it in as deborahblackwelldotcom.wordpress.com. That is not correct. How can I fix this problem and attach the correct name to the website?

  Since you already have a domain that you registered elsewhere, you can map that domain to your WordPress.com blog by following these instructions > http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  After purchasing domain mapping and doing the setup it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS propagation progress here > http://www.whatsmydns.net (just input your domain name in the field)

  Thanks for your help. So within 24 to 72 hours, the domain name on the webite should correct one and the current name is just temporary until the mapping process is complete.

  Hello again,

  If you have purchased the domain mapping from

  https://wordpress.com/domains/add/whatfairytale.wordpress.com

  and followed the guide found at http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ your domain name should be mapped within 24 to 72 hours :)
