incorrect domain name / upgrade query
-
1. The domain name offered was: editinginternational.org.
The domain name I ended up with was editinginternationalorg.wordpress.com
I very much would like to change my domain name.
2. I attempted (and succeeded?) several times to upgrade to the premium package. I paid – more than once – 149USD from my PayPal account. However, this is not reflected on my wordpress site – which only has me listed as a FREE site.
Thank you.

Good Morning Robert – Do you see the Premium upgrade listed here: http://wordpress.com/purchases/ ? Did you mistakenly create a duplicate account? You will only find the purchase listed under the account that purchased it originally.
editinginternational.org has not been registered or created yet. If you still wish to use this custom domain, you may register it under your user account here: http://wordpress.org/start/domains/
A quick note about custom domains: Custom Domains are those that do not show the .wordpress portion of the domain. There is an annual fee depending on the ending (.org, .com, .net, etc…). Each WordPress.com user account will be able to register the associated free .wordpress.com domain. For example the user account “example123” will be able to register example123.wordpress.com for free. Free domains do not expire, and there is no fee for them.

Thank you very much, Liz, for your information.
Actually, as I indicated in my message, my issue is that the domain ended up as editinginternationalorg – my problem is not with the wordpress at the end of the domain, but with the “org” actually directly ATTACHED to the prefix of the domain.
In other words, if someone searches my site, they will likely NOT remember to add “org” with no dot or @ symbol – it makes no sense to simply have the letters o r g attached as in editinginternationalorg, which effectively renders the name “editinginternational” meaningless.
The set up page however showed the domain as dot org, (.org) – NOT as the org directly attached (with no dot or @ symbol separating it from the name). So, the domain name and site are in fact useless. And it’s rather frustrating that the right version with dot.org shown on the set up page turned out to be different from what was offered in the end.

You can change the address of the blog. Here are the instructions:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/Also, I sent you the wrong link to check and see if you had the upgrade on your account. Here’s the link to check your billing: https://wordpress.com/me/billing
Let me know if this helps!
