Incorrect domain name when setting up WordPress account…

When I set up my WordPress account, I made a spelling mistake in my domain name so it is not correct.
The domain is showing as: https://giillardmay.wordpress.com/ which has two ii in gillard.
The domain should read: https://gillardmay.wordpress.com/ which has only one i in gillard!
I have now registered gillardmay.wordpress.com separately but I’m not sure if I now have two separate accounts or not….
I am at the moment set up as under the free option, but may decided to upgrade later once I’m more familiar with WordPress.

Hi,
I can definitely see that you have two sites now, but it’s likely that they’re both under the same account. You can check this by clicking My Sites in the top left, and then “Switch Site” directly underneath. From there you should be able to choose which site you want to work on.
I can see that the site with the incorrect spelling already has some content on it. If you want to export that content and re-import it into the site with the correct domain name, check out the Export article which details how to export/import data into WordPress.com blogs.
In any case, pick which site you want to work on and upgrade it when necessary. There shouldn’t be any issues with the other site still existing.
If you want to delete the site that you won’t want to use, check out this article on how to do so. Just be very certain that you want to delete the site, as the address of the site you delete will no longer be able to be used by anybody on the WordPress.com platform.

Both gillardmay.wordpress.com and giillardmay.wordpress.com are owned by the account you are logged in to. You can switch between them from My Sites at the top left.

Many thanks to you both and I seem to have got the hang of it now thanks to your help.
It’s all a bit of a learning curve for me and I have at least managed to write and publish my first Blog on WordPress!!
