Incorrect Email When Creating Site
-
When creating a brand new site (CeramicsByMary.Wordpress.com), I accidentally entered my email incorrectly and do not have access to change it. Now when trying to create the CeramicsByMary.Wordpress.com site with my actual email/wordpress account, it says it is unavailable and taken. Is there anyway to help?
Site Name I want: CeramicsByMary.Wordpress.com
CORRECT EMAIL: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Incorrect email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

I should also add: when using the incorrect email, it was never verified (because I don’t own the incorrect email). If I try and log in/create an account with the email, it sends the confirmation to whomever owns the email. I hope I am explaining this well :) Thank you!

Hi, site addresses can only be used once on WordPress.com – there’s some general information about that here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/With the account that uses the wrong email address, do you still have the ability to log in there, despite the unverified email address?
If so, it can be worth doing this:
- Log in on the “incorrect” account where you created ceramicsbymary.wordpress.com
- Invite this account to become an administrator of the site:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ - (Optional, but advisable) Once this account has admin access, you can go back to the ‘incorrect’ account to transfer ownership:
