Incorrect number of posts reported

  I emptied out my blog: no more posts, categories, pages or links… nothing, and although the all posts overview reports “No posts found.” the number of ‘all posts’ on that same overview page remains… 6! Now I had the same problem with my own WordPress install and had to go into the database to correct it, but on WordPress.com I obviously can’t do that. How can I get this corrected?

  Are those posts found in your Trash folders? If so you can delete them permanently. Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >

  If they are not in your Trash folders please post here again and I’ll flag this thread for Staff attention.

  Hi timethief, thanks for your reponse! No, I don’t even have a Trash folder. Had to put up a test post and delete it to see what you mean.
