incorrect number visitors in monthly statistics

    Hi,
this is my second inquiry, I have noticed an incorrect number of visitors in my monthly statistical count. So far in March I had 121 visitors (excluding today March 7, 2015) and 712 clicks ( also excluding today)- that is according to daily count ( day statistics’ bar). When I check my monthly count (bar) I see 101 guests so far this month ( excluding today’s guests), The number of clicks seems up to a date but number of visitors is incorrect- it is less than the number shown in my daily statistics ( by at least 20 plus the number of today’s visitors). Why is that? Could you please check it for me and fix it. Thanks for your response. Regards. Wanda. March 7, 2014

    Hi Wanda,

It looks like Jeremy was already following up with you:

Please follow up with him there!

  • This is a completely different inquiry. Please compare my daily statistics ( tables) with my monthly table for the month of march. I am short in my monthly table by 44 visitors when I compare it with my daily number of visitors for the month of march. In the first 9 days of march I had 186 visitors and 1140 clicks. The number of clicks displayed in march table seems to be correct but the number of visitors is 142 ( as of today) and that is 44 short when compared to my daily statistics

    Hi Wanda,

While the number of views is incremented almost immediately after you get a new visit on your site, Unique Visitors only appear a bit later, as we need to make some calculations on our end. That’s why you may notice discrepancies in the numbers. Rest assured though, all counters get incremented, and the new visitors appearing on your daily view will soon be added to the monthly view as well.

Once they’re added, you may continue to notice a few differences, as someone could be a new Unique Visitor yesterday, but was in fact someone who already visited your blog earlier this month. As a result, the number of Unique Visitors will only be incremented once in the monthly view.

I hope this helps. Please get in touch again if you have any questions.
