Incorrect registrant info impeding authorization code
-
I am trying to authorize my domain to be transferred, as I have decided to go with another provider. I followed the instructions on your support page about transferring domain registration. I got to the part where I tried to get my authorization code emailed to me, however, and when I clicked on “email my code”, a pop up came up saying:
Send my authorization code to the Administrative email address
((email visible only to moderators and staff))But the above email is NOT my email. I then checked under the “Contacts” tab, and I saw that all my info is for the same email, and phone numbers and addresses listed out of Arizona??? I am so confused!! I feel like I’ve been hacked or stolen from. This information is not mine. I need that authorization code emailed to ME, not this other person. I am just a girl in Canada trying to transfer a website, and I have been blocked from doing this because the authorization code is being sent elsewhere??
Please help me figure this out. I am so frustrated.

Hi there,
Before requesting your EPP code, you need to disable private registration. Private Registration makes sure that your contact information remains private. You can find more information about this here. Our support page Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar walks through each step.
To disable private registration, visit your Store->My Upgrades page from your site’s dashboard and click the “Cancel Private Registration” link, then request the EPP code again.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
