incorrect stats

  Hi,

  I’m having an issue with my stats. The number of visitors today is showing as 1, with the number of views at 36 in 5 countries. I frequently have issues like this with my stats but it’s so extreme today I thought I’d better write to you guys to try and figure out what’s going wrong.

  Hi Susanne,

  The discrepancy between the number of views and visitors in your stats is due to how we calculate those stats for your blog. Typically a view is reported within five minutes, while it can take up to two hours to report new visitors. At any given time, your visitor count may lag behind your view counts. (It sounds like our number crunching may have taken a little longer than usual on Saturday, but it looks like your stats are back to normal now.)

  One thing you can do is wait until the following day, and then check your stats for the previous day — that will help ensure that all the stats from that day have been calculated and you’re getting the complete data.
