incorrectly spelled url when blog site was set up
-
An astute 84 year old friend notified me that I had a spelling error in my blog link when I first announced it. Is there a way to correct
the spelling of …travlelers.wordpress.com
to …travelers.wordpress.com by deleting the first “l” and retaining all the content?
I should say that I also have the correctly spelled url in my list of sites however it does not include the title of my blog nor any saved content.
Thanks, StewartThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, travelers.wordpress.com is not available as it was registered a number of years ago and has been suspended. Once registered and/or suspended, the site is unavailable for anyone else to use.
You can perhaps think about it and find a different name that will work for you and then rename your site to that name. See our Change a Blog Address support page for more information. Make sure and read through things carefully and also when doing the transfer to the new name. There are some warnings and once done, it cannot be undone.
The other option would be to buy your own domain name and map it to your site here, which means the base wordpress.com url would not be seen by anyone, only your chosen custom domain. You can read more about that on our All About Domains support page.
Another option would be to get the WordPress.com Personal Plan upgrade which comes with a custom domain name and removes all advertising. You can find out more about that by going to My Sites > Plan.

Allow me to clarify: the current URL that I have is https://vtteardroptravlelers.wordpress.com/ (note the misspelling of travelers).
The URL I would like to use for this blog (already well started) is: https://vtteardroptravelers.wordpress.com/ (I have already reserved this)
My question is this: Is there a way to transfer the blog contents to the correctly spelled URL OR is there a way to change the URL to the correct spelling AND RETAIN THE CONTENT?

Hi Stewart, and thanks for the clarification. You can export your content from your current blog and import it into the new one. See this section of the Moving a Blog support page.
