increase storage on free account

    I would like to initially add 10GB storage to my free account but I am always directed to the premium plan which includes a domain for £70 a year.
    All I want at present is to increase storage from 3Mb to 13Mb on the free account.
    Do you still have that option or must I pay £70?

    The upgrade plans are changing so that ultimately the way to upgrade your site will be to purchase a plan rather than to purchase an individual upgrade. During the transition however, individual upgrades are being considered on a case-by-case basis. I’ll mark this thread for staff assistance and one of the Happiness Engineers will reply to you privately.

    I’m sorry for bumping this thread, but if you resize and optimize your images prior to uploading them, that free 3GB of storage will last you a long time. I’ve been here 8 years and have barely eaten into 5% of my available space.

    Of course if you want to be able to upload audio files to your WPcom site, you will indeed need the space upgrade. There are, however, other options for audio. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/
