Increasing blog hits

  Hi. I just joined about a week ago. Still learning the ropes. Here’s my blog: http://genchan.wordpress.com

  A question: How does one increase blog hits? What can I do to get more people to visit my blog? Does having more categories help? Any concrete suggestions?

  Thanks drmike. Based on that, I went over to Technorati to sign up. But when I wanted to set up automatic ping, I couldn’t find the Update Services option in Writing Option. How can I go about doing this?

  It’s my understanding that Technorati is already automatically pinged by WordPress. So is PingOMatic and, thus, all the services they in turn ping.

  Rain is corrent. The blogs here already ping Tech along with a number of other online resources.

  If you feel the urge, please drop Tech. an email asking them why they’ve ignored the issue I’ve raised with them three times now about that page being incorrect. :)
