Increasing column width in Sela Template

    The Sela template says writing can be full page width, but I can only do a column width. How to widen the margins so the text fills the page? Thanks.

  • Hi @marilynandgene , the content area on a full width page is about 850px wide. For a regular page, it’s 620px wide.

    If you wanted to go beyond 850px, you may be able to do that with some custom CSS. Something like this would likely work, since it reduces the margins on either side of the content:

    @media screen and (min-width: 998px)
    .content-wrapper.full-width.with-featured-image {
        margin: -4em 7%;
        padding: 1.5em 3% 0;
    }

    You would need WordPress Premium to add CSS. I hope that helps!

    Dear Supernovia, thanks for the great suggestion. I switched to the Shore Ditch template which allowed for full page width via a selection on the Page Attributes drop down and it allowed me to increase from 6 inches wide to 9 inches wide on the page.

  • I’m glad you’ve got it sorted. Cheers!
