Increasing just comment and sidebar width

  How do i successfully keep my template in wordpress looking the same but add more space for affiliates? any suggestions. I would like to just increase the gray background so i have more spacing for it to be done. If anyone has any suggestion besides changing my style.css code. please advise.

  Let me be precise, I would like to keep everything the same but just add width to the gray back ground of website….only accurate inquiries please. this is a time sensitive matter, My website blog is http://www.watchwhatshot.com if you would like to see what ive done so far.
