Increasing number of spam comments?

  Has anyone else seen a sudden spike of spam comments? I went from having none to having 11 already today which got through the Akismet spam filter. They’re all in Russian I think. Is there something perhaps broken with the spam filter?

  The site linked to your name does is not a WordPress.com blog:
  It says in the footer, “Powered by WordPress” Note that wp.ORG is not the same as wp.COM.
