Increasing Widget Width on Twenty Seventeen theme (Instagram)
-
Hi guys,
So I’m pretty basic when it comes to CSS, and I’m having issues trying to increase the width of my Instagram Widget.
Because I’m on premium and not business, I can’t use it as a plugin which makes it all the more difficult. I have it currently as the ‘footer 1’ widget on my homepage. It gives the option of up to 3 columns – however, as these increase, the photo size gets smaller.
I’m wondering if I can use CSS to make this widget the width of the entire page, so the pictures are larger.
Thanks,
Kira

You require either a Premium upgrade or a Business Plan upgrade https://wordpress.com/pricing/ to edit the CSS on any site hosted by wordpress.com.
The way your theme is designed to function and set up instructions are found at https://wordpress.com/theme/twentysevevnteen/ for example. The live demo site link is found there too.
We cannot change the way any theme is designed to function. We can change appearance only, provided we have upgraded and undertake CSS editing.
Note 1: If you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.
