Increasing/Encouraging active visitors to a blog

  Hi all

  Just wanted some advice as to how to improve active visitors to my blog. Looking at the stats I’m doing pretty poorly! Dunno whether to laugh or cry! :) I’m pretty bad at marketing so not sure how to reach as many people as possible.

  How do increase its visibility?
  What should I do to increase views/reads/sharing?
  What’s the problem with it at the moment?
  What’s the best way of sharing without spamming people?

  Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
