Incredible Vanishing Themes

I started my blog with the Sapphire Theme, but I decided I wanted my pages to run across a top nav bar, so I went in to change it today. First, I see Sapphire is no longer even there – or is it removed from my list of available themes because I already had it? Second, I am trying k-2 lite now. At first, it showed a list of related blog posts, apparently from other people on wordpress.com. That was fine, but now it seems to have vanished, and all I did was go back to my dashboard. One of the tabs on the k-2 lite nav bar is blog. I have my home page set to a specific page. But when I click on blog, I get the same static page! The only way I can make regular blog posts show up in on the category link. That can’t be right, can it? Can someone explain, or better yet, recommend a professional looking theme that ‘just works’?

    – “Or is it removed from my list of available themes because I already had it?” Yes.

    – All themes “just work”. When you set a static front page, you must also set a posts page if navigation via categories won’t do for you. See here:

    – Some themes have a built-in “home” or “blog” page, so you “get the same static page”. See here:
