Indentation of Paragraphs & Spacing

  • Unknown's avatar

All my articles look “boxy” is the best way I can describe it. I indent my paragraphs while typing my posts but when I preview it is not indented. Anyone know why?
Also, when I put links in articles it throws off the spacing, often badly, so I have started putting footnotes at the bottom. Any ideas on why links to my sources does this & how I can fix it?
    Thanks.

Link to your wordpress.COM blog? And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sitcky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum

Since I moved to this theme:
Theme: The Journalist by Lucian E. Marin

I have had far less spacing problems, the spacing problems appear if I edit, but otherwise WYSWYG.
Also try submitting from the editor in visual mode, and also try submitting in html mode, sometimes there is a difference.

@fieldale: I don’t see why you should have problems with indenting. How are you trying to do it?

As for the links, I guess you mean the ones that flow outside the limit of your main column. That’s because you put the actual URLs as links, which sometimes are too long (and they don’t have spaces to allow for a line break). Why don’t you use a word or a short phrase instead of the whole URL? (E.g. instead of “you can view that article here:” followed by the URL, make the “here” be the link.)
