Indenting lines in poem

    Post in Draft stage.
    I am trying to copy out a 19th century poem, remaining faithful to the format I read.
    In a given verse, odd lines (but not alternate, necessarily) are to be indented. The spaces I put in HTML are ignored by the program.
    This seems like it should be such an easy problem to fix…is it at all doable?
