  Dear all,

  I am facing the estimated reading time of the blog setting issue. It is showing erratic and at one of the most, it is showing only 1 min for a good 10 mins read.

  Secondly sometimes when I share it is shared as per the mobile adaptable reading page and the blog post is opened in a different format than a blog. But sometimes shared as the link to post and opens at the blog post directly.

  Request guidance in the matter

  Hi Knotty Sailor,

  If you’re referring to a specific post, please provide a link to it. I find that the reading time on the post https://knottysailor.wordpress.com/2021/01/16/new-pension-scheme/ appears to be underestimated. Are you referring to that post? Are there incorrect reading times on more than one post?

  Regarding your second issue, I’ll defer to others. If nobody responds to that shortly, then I’d suggest adding a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at the right of the topic.

  Hi there,

  I looked at a few blog posts on your website and it seems like the reading time issue only shows up when the post was written in Hindi (I believe it is Hindi).

  I am assuming these automatic estimated reading times are added via character counting. Maybe it is having issues counting the Hindi characters.
