Independent Publisher 2, Blog Page, Featured Image not showing

I tried a few images and none of them will show up for the featured image. All the other pages have the featured image at the top of the page and are visible in a browser (Chrome on PC).
It looks odd when the other pages all have a featured image then you click on blogs as it’s blank at the top of the page.
What’s the fix?

Hi,
The blog page on Independent Publisher doesn’t display a featured image. I find no way to modify that behavior at Customize.

The blog is not a “real” page in WordPress – it’s dynamically generated – so very rarely does it ever display a featured image or other content from the “dummy” page you create as a placeholder.
You could probably “fake” something with custom CSS by setting a background image and moving down the content of the blog. If you decide to go that route and need help, just let me know! Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans.

What is “the blog”? Does this mean the Home Page of the website?
The blog is whatever page you’ve assigned to display your latest posts in the Customizer’s Static Front page panel. It can be on the homepage – that’s the default for a new site – or on a separate page. You can learn more here about how to assign the blog to a page other than the homepage.
