Independent Publisher : header logo
-
Hi people,
After 8 years of using Simpla Theme I have just changed today to Independent Publisher by Raam Dev, theme that I found great.
Question about it : How to change the small round logo/picture in the middle of the header pic ? I could not find how to remove it or change it. I now have this pink/purple logo I want t get rid of.
Thanks for your feedback.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s the current image on your Gravatar profile at http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/#about-you
Upload a new photo to your Gravatar profile at http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/new-image and it would automatically appear in your blog’s header.

I just realized you have Custom Design upgrade. So you can add the following CSS to the CSS Editor to hide the Gravatar:
a.site-logo-link { display: none; } -
Thanks ! Note that I do have a gravatar image that was not displayed. But that’s OK I’d rather have none.

Were you able to get this sorted out or do you still need help? I’m not seeing a purple/pink image on your header at the moment.

Ah, I see that you did hide it with the custom CSS provided earlier.
That image is the Gravatar associated with the email address you entered in the Customizer’s Theme Options panel, in the Gravatar section. If you prefer not to have one displayed, you can just remove the email you entered there and leave the field blank, as you see here:

I need help with the same problem. I do have a gravatar associated with my email address but it doesn’t shows up as my header logo.
-
Hi Sarah, did you just recently add a Gravatar to that email address? It can take some time for it to propagate and appear on your site. Let me know if it doesn’t appear by tomorrow.

An empty email address in Gravatar field still displays a placeholder image: https://cloudup.com/ccMaKT66DSl
It would be nice if a blank email address displayed no image at all.

I was mistaken in explaining how the Gravatar in this theme works – sorry for the confusion.
As the theme’s documentation mentions, “By default, the site owner’s Gravatar is displayed in the header. If you want to display someone else’s Gravatar, navigate to the Customizer → Theme Options and change the Gravatar email address.” This means that a Gravatar image (custom or default) will always appear in that area.
If folks prefer not to have an image there, they may hide it with custom CSS:
.site-branding .site-logo-image { display: none; } -
sarahmaryam – it looks like you’ve detached the Gravatar image associated with the email you’ve entered in the Customizer, so it’s still displaying a default one. Was that intentional? Please let me know if you still need any help with this.

Thank you @kathrynwp. Just making sure there is no way to remove the Gravatar in the header, without using custom CSS.
Now I know better. Cheers.
