Independent wordpress theme on existing Magento site
-
Hi.
We have a site called http://www.muzenly.com built on top of magento and we are currently using a tumblr blog. However, we find that WordPress is better suited for our needs. We want to have our WP blog at the URL http://www.muzenly.com/blog, with an independent theme from themeforest that we liked.
How do we achieve this?
We looked at the FishPig plugin
( http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/wordpress-integration-3795.html)
but seems like you can’t apply a new theme to it? http://fishpig.co.uk/magento/wordpress-integration/docs/themes/Are we missing something? would appreciate your guidance.
thanks in Advance

Hi Sudhamab,
Fish Pig have a free WordPress Integration plugin for Magento. This should be what you want. Hope this helps.

Hi sudhamab – it sounds like you’re looking to install WordPress on your own hosting. These forums are for folks hosted here at WordPress.com, so you might want to try asking the FishPig plugin folks directly. Looks like they have a contact form here:
https://fishpig.co.uk/contact-us/
If you have questions about WordPress and Magento integration in general you might want to post in the WordPress.org forums, which are for self-hosted folks running WordPress on their own server:
You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
https://wordpress.org/support/register.php
Or you could also try the Magento “How do I?” forums:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewforum/15/
Good luck!
