  I would like to know what ‘Index my site’ means in terms of setting privacy.
  Also, on the blog where it says ‘Contact’ – does my email show to others? I would not like that shown, if possible. Tks!

  Hi,

  It depends on the context of the phrase “Index my site.” It may refer to a process used by search engines to compile data on a site. For a description of how this works, see for example the Crawling and Indexing page at Google Inside Search. Or the Indexing section of the How Google Search Works Google support page. However, in practice, when people say that a site has been indexed by Google, I think they typically mean that the site may now be found among Google search results.
