Index problems

Okay, first of all, thank you for taking time to look and see what I am reffering to. Just to clarify, I am not copying, exactly. I transfered each post, paragraph by paragraph, into Google Translator and then back to English, to make sure it made sense (because I don’t speak Spanish) and then I copied the Spanish translation into the new post.
My problem arose when I tried to set up the Index in Spanish, the same was as I did the English version (because I tried copying & pasting to no avail) and I managed to get the url along with the code into the text version but when I check it later, there is nothing there.
Could the problem be that I haven’t published them yet? As I said earlier, I didn’t want to make them visible to the public until my Spanish wife checked them for accuracy.

To make sure I’m looking at the same thing you are, this is the post I see listed as your Spanish index:

    Indice

Is there a different one that you’re editing? Can you give me a link to it?

    Yes, that is the one.

Thanks. It looks like the code you had entered into the editor was lacking some information, so it got stripped. Here’s what I found in your revision history:

    <a href="http://gustavitoluz.wordpress.com/2014/07/26/nuestra-historia/" title="nuestra historia"></a><a href="http://gustavitoluz.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/capitulos-1/" title="Capítulos 1"></a>

However, in order for these links to be active, you have to put some content between > and . Like this:

    <a href="http://gustavitoluz.wordpress.com/2014/07/26/nuestra-historia/" title="nuestra historia">LINK1</a><a href="http://gustavitoluz.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/capitulos-1/" title="Capítulos 1">LINK2</a>

Then those links will appear on the page. Does that clarify things? Let me know if I can help further.

Thank you, I replaced the code I had with the one you gave and it gave me a link which brought up the title page for chapter 1. Now I will have to see if I can apply that same thing to the rest of them, such as the body of chapter 1 instead of just the title.
Thanks again for your help, I will let you know if I need more help.

Thank you, that works, very well. I figured out how to change “LINK1 & LINK2, etc.” to what I need them to say, but when I click on them, they don’t go to the page that they refer to, it tells me that I’m looking for something that isn’t here. I’ve tried several variations in the spelling (caps, no caps, spaces, no spaces, etc.) to no avail, with the exception of the first one (Capitulos 1 – Nuestra Historia), it works perfectly.
    Any suggestions???

    Hi there,

I checked the other links in your index, and the problem is that those posts aren’t published — they are unpublished drafts. For those links to work, you’ll need to publish those posts on your site.

You can see a list of all your posts, including drafts, under Posts > All Posts in your site’s dashboard. Any post that’s a draft will say Draft next to the post title. You can edit that post and click the blue “Publish” button to publish those posts on your site.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Thank you for confirming that. I asked earlier if it mattered about having the posts published first because I didn’t want to make them public until my Spanish speaking wife has had a chance to double check them for accuracy. At least now I know what to do when she’s done. By the way, Happiness Engineer is an awesome title. Thanks, again, for your help.
