Index shows up instead of Blog
-
How come sometimes the index page shows up when I try visiting my website instead of the blog? I hope that makes sense, but it doesn’t happen all the time.
Please help!

You are using WordPress MU, which is supported here: http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/ . WordPress.COM is a free hosting service, using a highly modified version of MU and we would not be able to answer. Head over to the MU forum.

If you view the source for newmommylife, it doesn’t say “wordpress.com for meta content, it says, wordpress MU.
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress MU"That was what lead me to believe they were not hosted here (which after looking further I agree they are).
This is what you see on WordPress.com blogs (at least up until now):
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress.com" />I’ve always seen the above when I have viewed the source on wordpress.com blogs, and that is one of the ways I use to tell if someone is hosted here or not.
Self-hosted blogs will display something similar to the below:
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.x.x" /> -

Granted that I don’t always look at the underpinnings on a site unless there’s a reason to, but how odd.

This is off topic maybe I never noticed it
before but the links turn orange when you
hover over them… -
