Indexing

I am trying to get an index page for my blog. I couldn’t figure out how to do that. Also, can you tell me how use pages?

Hi –
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘an index page’, can you please explain what you are trying to do.
Here’s some information to help you get started.
Build your site in 5 steps with this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/five-step-website-setup/
Pages: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
Set a static home page on your site by following the directions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

This is my blog
What exactly I am trying to do is get the post title, followed by a little text from the post (initial few lines) & then a ” read more ” button or something, because the theme offers infinite scroll & all the posts are listed one after the other. So a viewer has to scroll down like for a minute to get to a post on the bottom. And I don’t really under the static home page idea because I tried doing that, but the blog is still the same.
Thank you for your prompt reply.

Are you still planning to use WordPress.com? Because your site has been deleted I can’t see what theme you are using to help you further. If you are still using WordPress.com can you link me to your new site? -

Thanks for sharing the site.
I agree, the site is quite long. You are using The Libretto Theme.
You have the option of using Pull Quotes with that theme. It would help highlight some of your writing.
You can also add Post Formatting, here’s some information on that:
