indexing in google search

    Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to wordpress blogging for one thing. Over the last couple of days, I tried to ‘index’ or make my blog more visible on google. I first entered my sitemap into google webtools, register my URL there. Then I realised that my option to get SEO was off on my wordpress admin. I did change that, in order to make myself visible from indexing websites. I thought I thus fixed the problem, as I got a new robots.txt file. However, when I type the name of my website on google search tool (http://something-boho.com/) I get an error message saying that the search is inaccessible because of a faulty robots.txt file. I thus have 3 questions:
1-How long does it for google to get approve an indexing request
2-I paste my robots.txt file created by wordpress at the end of this post. Does anyone notice something odd with it?
3- If my robots file is fine, and it does not take more than 48 hours to google to index a blog, can you think about anything else that I might need to do or that I missed?

    Thank you for your help

    Leni

    Hi,

Search engines like Google can take up to 6 weeks to index a new site. It looks like you’ve already done what you can to speed up the process. I’d suggest publishing content and sharing the link on social media to increase your chances of getting indexed by Google faster.

You can learn more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

Also, I can see that your site is properly set up to be indexed by Google. You don’t need to change anything there.
