Indexing issue

  I have turned my blog private for a number of years and a month ago, when I put it on public again, I realized 1. no search engine readers, 2. no indexing (it was being checked by a SEO friend who said he has no clue why this happens) by Google or, for that matter, possibly by no other search engine – not the link to the blog, no links to posts, no posts, keywords, categories, nothing! I searched my blog by myself, it is blank. I am now importing my Facebook archive and it is the same. I followed all suggestions (laughable, suggestions such as, post relevant, original content – which I always did – and be relevant…) and nothing has changed.

  Could someone please what do I need to do to go back on google and see that strange list of search words people used to get to read my posts? I must add, I do not intend to make money out of blogging, nor put money into blogging, buying domains, packages and stuff.

  Google has indexed only 1 page of your site as you can test yourself by googling “site:http://gadjodillo.wordpress.com/”.

  I’ve been reading it all and cannot figure out how to index it back as it has been without buying a domain and paying a subscription. Can someone please help?

  It can take between 4-6 weeks for Google to crawl and index a site. Try resubmitting your sitemap to Google Console. https://wordpress.com/support/category/grow-your-audience/get-found-in-search-engines/

  Hi there! If the site was previously set to Private, it would have noindex set, preventing search engines from crawling. You can find these options under Settings > General and the Privacy Settings there.
  
  As the previous reply mentioned, it can take up to 4-6 weeks for Google to crawl and index the site. Submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console can help speed the process up.

  This content should eventually get crawled and indexed by Google and other search engines within a month or so.
