Does anyone have same issues with their blog taking forever to load or the template does not fully display?

The usual cause of a single blog that loads slowly (but dashboard is fast) is a post or sidebar that includes an image hosted elsewhere – if the image host is slow, so is your page.

Curious….if you have links to videos in your sidebar, will that slow things down? I click “Save” and then have to walk away and do something else for awhile…

My sidebar has no image or video links except local ones, but like outsider222 I have to walk away and do other things for awhile–and that “awhile” is getting longer and longer. Will an administrator please address what’s going on?

Mine is behaving badly tonight too..really slowly. I know I have LOTS of stuff on my page, but it usually loads really quickly. At the moment it’s plain terrible:(

Yes!!!! My blog either shows up as a completely blank, white page; or it takes up to 5 minutes to load. It also took me 10 MINUTES to log into admin, so that I could leave a comment on this forum.

Me neither, Vivian. I did the cookie dance and restarted my computer. I can get onto my one blog, just fine. But my primary blog, I can’t. And when I click on dashboard, it takes minutes for anything to appear.

The Forums are fine, but anything involving the actual blog is like working with dial-up

My blog has been acting horrible for the last 2 days. Its soooooo slow loading the pages, and inside the dashboard its even worse. I tried 4 times, a total of 30 minutes to post a new topic just now..finally i gave up and saved in in drafts…which itself took a couple minutes to react.

There seems to be a difference between “accessing” blogs and actually working on them in the dashboard, especially when hitting “save.” It’s extremely frustrating, and I agree with thechurch, it’s like working with dial-up…even worse.

Some problems with the servers? Viewing posts is normal speed. Updating is extremely slow or even impossible !

Mine is HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY slow right now. Have been waiting 10 minutes for a save. Administrators?? I think that we’re knocking on an empty door. Maybe Matt will put THIS in his November wrap-up? Ha, ha. Right.

Yes, incredibly slow today while editing posts, making new posts, etc. Accessing the posts is fine.
