Individual Pages for Blog Posts?
-
I’d love to use this theme, but on the Blog page, it would be great to have a list of all the blogs with the date and a small excerpt rather than scrolling down through endless text.
Is there a way to accomplish that automatically with this theme?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you checked this out?
Create a Site Index https://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#create-a-site-indexOtherwise you can use the more tag (read more tag) in each post and that may be workable. See also: content options https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/content-options/

Unfortunately I have looked through a lot of those options. It’s looking like the best option could either be creating a new page for each blog post, or just choosing a different theme to work with.
In fairness, I’ve only found one theme that actually does exactly what I’m looking for. So it may be hard for the dev to implement :)

sjayphotos – are you happy with Escutcheon or would you like help finding a different theme?
You have three main choices:
1. Choose a theme that displays excerpts by default
2. Use the More tag, as timethief suggested above.
3. Use a more recent theme that allows you to choose between displaying the full post and an excerpt. Almost all recent themes have this option in the Customizer‘s Content Options panel. Timethief mentioned this option as well. I see that you were using Twenty Seventeen earlier. It does have an option to display excerpts in the Content Options panel.
If you still need help choosing a theme, please let us know.
