Individual post pages slide the sidebar down to the very bottom of the page.
-
Hi there,
I’ve just started my blog for the first time, and while the front page looks great, if you go to the page for an individual post, the sidebar is displaying *below* the post (still on the side) instead of alongside it. This is consistent across multiple computers, so I know it’s not just my own display that’s a problem….
I posted some test posts (which I’ve since deleted) and this happens every time. So, I think it’s something wrong with the individual page template (using the Twenty Ten theme) and not any HTML in the posts themselves. Does anyone know a way that I can fix this, or will I just have to start over with a brand new theme??
Thank you so much for your help!
Sandra

Do this first please:
Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”Then if you are copying and pasting fromm WORD see here please:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post
Microsoft WORD is not web compliant code and when copying and pasting text from WORD we must use icon icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-textIf that doesn’t work see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/layout-issues/#sidebar and http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/

Thank you so much for those links! The last one especially helped me understand what might be wrong (even though it actually wasn’t any of the things suggested), and it turns out something in my public profile description (the blank line? the website address?) was breaking things. I took everything out of my public profile, started over, and now it works just fine!
