Infinity Scroll

How do you turn OFF the infinity scroll for the Twenty Fourteen theme so that the blog pages are numbered like the sample?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have disabled infinite scroll and will not get numbered pages. You will get the older posts button only.

That’s pretty obvious. I would like the pages to be numbered like the theme sample – I never had the infinite scroll button clicked in the first place. The theme sample is the reason I chose it and I am not seeing the results I want.

Sure I can tag this for Themes Staff so they can answer you. Please subscribe to the thread and be patient while waiting for your answer.

Hi there, could you link to the demo where you saw the page numbers so I can see what you mean? On the demo for Twenty Fourteen on WordPress.com I see “Older Posts” at the bottom:

Thanks!

Thanks for this. The pagination you see when the Customizer is open is only a way to allow you to navigate while you’re customizing the site. It’s not possible to have that pagination outside of the Customizer – the options are either Infinite Scroll or the “Older Posts” button.
Let me know if this clarifies.

Just a heads-up, I don’t think you’ll find any WordPress.com themes using pagination – they all have the same two options I mentioned above. Sometimes the “Older Posts” button says “Load More” instead.

Adding the pagination you’re looking for isn’t something that can be changed – either with or without an upgrade – because it works the same way across all of WordPress.com. It’s not something specific to any particular theme.
I hope this clarifies!

I was thinking about that, too.
It’s interesting that category archives do have pagination…

…but front page does not.
