Info about functionalities and possibilities

Hello,
I’ve since some years an account and domain managed by Ipage. I was usually using softwares to update and upload website and sometimes useful to upload some files for sharing by ftp. I was thinking to stop with them to transfer my domain to you but wonder how would happen and would like to be sure of keeping it. Expiration of my account at Ipage is mid of March. Will I yet be able not only to create and Edit online but also to access by ftp and yet sometime upload some files on my website and have Emails too? How would it be? There is no FTP access to any sites hosted by wordpress.COM We cannot upload plugins and the only themes we can use are found here https://wordpress.com/themes/

Premium upgrades do not include any premium themes which are all individually priced one time upgrades. refunds and canceling upogrades
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.
