Infomous Plugin

  Hi All,

  I work in academia and the university I work for uses WP as the main outlet for departments and programs that want to setup websites. However, the IT dept has set parameters on what can be done to the websites and they do not allow plugins, limit coding, etc. In my department’s case, we want to embed a custom news cloud onto our website and unfortunately it requires a plugin to work. So I suggested to my department that we create a non-university WP sister-site and request WP for the plugin.

  The cloud system we want to use is through Infomous and they have a plugin through WP.org, but I am hoping that WP will allow that plugin to be used in WP.com so we can make our website. Infomous is a great resource to generate real-time trends in news and provides an excellent avenue for both students and professors to lookup news and research topics.
