  I am having a really hard time setting up menu tabs that when clicked on take the observer to that particular topic

  Hi,

  The site https://errics.wordpress.com/ has the Morden theme applied. Are you referring to a different site? Each of the three items in the header menu is linked to static page corresponding to the designated topic, although I notice that the slug is misspelled on the Cognitivism page.
