  I bought the CSS package in January, it’s expired now, why is that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Ah I see the way WP.com has it worded. I knew I was being conned, I could feel it.

  Well as soon as my domain expires, I’ll use a different service or do/pay for a new website.

  Conned? I’m not sure what you mean.

  You purchased Custom Design on January 30, 2012 and it will expire January 30, 2013.

  You did not enable auto-renew with your upgrade, which is why it’s listed as “Expiring” (by January 30, 2013).

  But why isn’t it working and why do I have to re-upgrade?

  I’m not paying another 30 dollars. I thought it only cost 30 dollars for 1 full year. Considering I’m not allowed to profit from it, I presumed it was a fair price.

  It does only cost $30 for one year.

  As mentioned above, ou purchased Custom Design on January 30, 2012 and it will expire January 30, 2013.

  It’s only “expiring” because you didn’t enable auto-renew. In this case, it is expiring because it will expire on January 30, 2013.

  If auto-renew were enabled, then it would not be expiring, because it would renew prior to expiration.
